War and Treaty live in concert are so phenomenal! And, as someone living the restaurant life, The Bear hits so eerily close to home I get anxiety from some of the scenes.
Just returned to Rochester (NY) from a sojourn to Cape Breton. Passed thro ME coming and going and NH so am ticked to just miss your book talk b/c I will not be making it to Denmark. I did however manage to buy some Locke and Key at the comic store in Bangor (and get some very good pizza on the main drag) so that assuages somewhat. You aren't kidding about the wet summer. I have never seen as much rain as I saw in New Brunswick - and I'm from Florida!!!! Thank you for all that you do - please keep scribbling.
I just came back from Denmark and here I am, checking flights to Copenhagen again 😂 I will wait until there’s more info about the event the day after 👀
I purchased a Kindle Scribe a week ago and wow, I love the device. Way better than the hand-sized Nook I owned before! Currently reading Mariana Enriquez's THINGS WE LOST IN THE FIRE and loving it, some good stuff. Anyway, hope all is good, Joe. Love your stuff, love your newsletter!
I’m thrilled that I will be there in Exeter! Leave from Dallas 7/15am and return home 7/15pm. WaterStreetBooks is the place to be! It’ll be fun to hear you and Paul Tremblay share wisdom and laughs. 🤣
Joe, please come visit Louisville, Kentucky (or anywhere near there!). I’m a huge fan of your writing, you’re my favorite author, and I would love to see you talk in person! PS pleeease make 🖤-Shaped Box into a film/miniseries, I can totally envision it on the screen (the 3x I’ve read it!) it’s brilliant! Thank you. Looking forward to your next book!
Your newsletters are exhausting (thank you for that). I spend the whole thing adding to my BTR list. I’m hoping to see you out here on the West Coast, specifically Northern California, SF Bay Area and if the gods are listening, anywhere near Sonoma County.
I am just thrilled to see you on here and hear what you have to say. I live part time in Vegas and part time in Nashville. Please come speak in one of those cities!!!!
Dear Mr Hill, I am planning to travel to Gollancz Fest to see your lecture and have a book signed. My friends got a hold of the thing and they want me to get their books inscribed too. I don't know if there will be a limit, but if not, can I come with like 10 books? Thank you. Petr from Prague.
I checked out the Kindle Scribe—very cool! I couldn’t tell, does it have a touchscreen keyboard or is it only freehand with stylus? Congrats on your recent appearances and success!
Train tickets bought for Denmark. See you there!
